An exploration of
Tiering, Small Group Activities, & Formative Assessment in Effective whole class Differentiation

The following portfolio is my culminating project for my middle level teacher education program.  Creating it provided an opportunity--as I transitioned from student to teacher--for me to articulate my philosophy of teaching.

 

Thorughout my student teaching I focused on the use of small group activities and tiering--coupled with formative assessment--as an effective approach to differentiating meaningful instruction.  I have attempted to articulate this examination by documenting and analyzing my practice throughout the fall and spring.
