Curriculum Design Project

Spring 2016

An exploration of
Curiosity, Creativity, and Innovation in Science and Technology

During the spring, I designed an integrated physical science unit for grades seven and eight.  Intended to be taught over a two-week period, the unit encompases concepts surrounding visible light and technology under the umbrella of "curiosity, creativity, and innovation in science and technology."

 

I sought to engage students in a series of multimodal explorations, as a whole-class, in small groups, and independently in order to communicate that science can--and does--extend beyond the classroom.
